Holiday travel updates and tips from TAA | News
As an added help to travelers this year Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) has issued some helpful travel tips for flyers and the family members who are picking them up.
The tips can be found by clicking on the following link: holiday travel tips. The link provides detailed information on the check-in and screening process, airport parking options and links to additional resources. Those who are flying are encouraged to book early for lower fares, to check flytucsonairport.com or their airlines websites for flight status changes, and to know the rules for security checkpoints and allow plenty of time for both processes.
Tucson International Airport is also offering a musical bonus this year, local schools and other performers will be entertaining the crowds at the airport with holiday music.
Passengers should expect full planes this season, according to the industry trade organization Airlines for America (A4A), which forecasts slightly higher Thanksgiving travel demand this year in comparison to 2011. They predict nearly 24 million people will fly between November 16 and November 27.
