Oracle man surrenders to SWAT after barricading inside home

A man with a medication issue surrendered to a SWAT team after he fired shots near paramedics and barricaded himself inside his home along with his wife, Pinal County Sheriff's Office spokesman Elias Johnson said.

The wife of 59-year-old James Evans called 911 and told authorities that her husband had overmedicated himself with prescription drugs.

A man with a medication issue fired shots at paramedics and then barricaded himself inside his home along with his wife, a Pinal County Sheriff's Office spokesperson stated.

After the man called 911, paramedics arrived at the man's house, located at 2260 W. Ivan Street in Oracle.

Controversial Sign Goes up in Oracle

This photo shows a sign placed by the post office in Oracle, Ariz.

The pictures reads, "Are there too many Italians in Arizona?" and next to the wording is a picture of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

According to the viewer, the sign was put up on the private property. 

He added that signs are frequently put up that have politically controversial messages. 

The Saddlebrooke Flasher

A female viewer told KOLD News 13 that on at least two occasions a man in Saddlebrooke had flashed women delivering the newspaper, within the last two weeks. 

In both cases the man had presented himself to a newspaper delivery person shortly before dawn and flashed himself. After flashing himself, the man runs away, according to the woman.

So far, KOLD has been told about the man flashing himself to two different women, on two different occassions.
